Response categories control which OEM service data segments appear in your decode response. Pick the categories that match your workflow.
Required: Every API key must select at least one category. Decode requests without a configured category return HTTP 400.

Structured, predictable responses
Every decode request counts as one lookup against your monthly quota. Repeat decodes of the same VIN within 24 hours are served instantly from cache (typically under 10ms) but still count. The in-dashboard Test VIN tool is free and never counts.
You'll receive a 429 (Too Many Requests) response. You can upgrade your plan, contact us for a custom volume, or wait for the next billing cycle.
